クライストチャーチゆかりの児童文学作家、マーガレット・マーヒーにちなんで、Margaret Mahy Family Playgroundと名付けられたファミリー公園が、もうすぐ完成予定です。
場所は、Avon川とArmagh St, Manchester St, Madras Stに囲まれた絶好のロケーション。砂場、噴水、アスレチック、BBQ/ピクニックエリア、などなど工夫を凝らしたデザインが盛り沢山。デザインの採用には、地域の子供たちから６０００ものアイデアやビジョンが集められコンペが行われたそうです。
